RIP: Sitar legend Ravi Shankar dies at 92
Ravi Shankar, the legendary sitar player who taught Beatle George Harrison how to play the stringed instrument and brought Indian music to the West, has passed away at age 92. His music transcended trends and cultural barriers and he was also the father of jazz singer Norah Jones. Bob Welch, an early guitarist with Fleetwood Mac and who enjoyed some success as a solo artist in the 70′s was found dead in Nashville Thursday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Living the vida loca finally caught up with five-time boxing champ Johnny Tapia. The 45-year-old Albuquerque native was found dead in his house Sunday at around 7:45 PM. Police say that the death did not appear suspicious.
